Aubrey Nicole, you are 5 months old!
You are (unofficially) 15 lbs 6 oz and 25 1/4 inches long. You wear size 2 diapers (only until I finish this last box) and 3-6 and 6 month clothes. You are starting to quickly outgrow the 3-6 month size so those are starting to go in a box and I guess I'd better get the 6-9 month size out and washed.
Things you've learned/can do now:
- You are a rolling machine from your tummy to back now. You will now only stay on your tummy for approx. 1 second. You still refuse to even attempt to roll onto your stomach but you will turn in circles to get in a better position for something you want.
- You are eating rice cereal now and loving it. You eat like your daddy... as fast as possible. :)
- We put together your high chair and walker and you like sitting in them.
- You went swimming for the first time last week. You weren't quite sure what to do with a life jacket on, but hopefully we'll be able to go again soon and you'll figure out how fun it is.
- You started "singing" to some music on your walker the other day. I was trying to get you to talk to me and then every time I'd play the music you would start to babble and then stop when the music stopped.
- You are great at finding hair and necklaces when I turn my head for only a second and have an awesome grip.
- You still don't say many consonant sounds and most ahh and ooh but you've started to be more deliberate in your babbling. You look at me and seem to be trying to tell me something now.
- You want to be able to sit up so badly. You can lift your whole head off the ground and sometimes even your shoulders slightly like you're trying to do a crunch.
I'm sure I'm missing some other milestones for the past month, but I didn't keep the list going all month like usual. I just had to think of them all off the top of my head and the top of my head has been pretty forgetful lately. Now for the best part.... pictures!
